This summer, the Pointe-Claire Public Library is offering a simplified version of the Summer Reading Club for 0 to 11 year olds and their families. You can register your child(ren) starting Monday, June 15 at 9 a.m. by LUDIK or leave us a message at 514-630-1218, extension 1623.
We will send you a sheet to mark each day your child reads. No pressure for the number of hours or days of reading. Just read for fun, no matter the format. Return each child’s sheet before August 19 for a chance to win a prize for children and families in a draw at the end of summer.
The TD Summer Reading Club has enhanced its web content. Beginning June 15, visit www.tdsummerreadingclub.ca for a wide range of online activities: create an online notebook, read electronic books and graphic novels wherever and whenever you want, vote in the Battle of the Books, review books, read and write jokes, view author/illustrator readings and workshops, print colouring sheets, and more. You can view this little teaser video that explains it :
In addition, the TD Summer Reading Club will be on the Bibliovideo channel (www.youtube.com/bibliovideo) with videos on Canadian children’s literature. A list will be especially dedicated to the Club, with content added throughout the summer.
