Preventive closure of the Library until further notice.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Closure of municipal culture, sports and leisure buildings

 Hello,

 To limit the spread of the coronavirus, and in connection with the Québec Government measures, all municipal buildings offering cultural, sports, leisure and community development services will be closed and all activities cancelled until March 30. This closure came into effect today for the Aquatic Centre, the Central Library and the arena, and will be in effect as of tomorrow, March 14, for the following facilities : Stewart Hall Cultural Centre, Noël-Legault Community Centre, Library – Valois Branch, Nautical activities building, Recreation building (94 Douglas-Shand Avenue) and all park chalets.

  1. What’s happening for books that are due back at the library? Do we just keep them until the library opens again?

    1. Hello Debbie,
      The library will not charge any late fees for items that should have been returned on March 13th through to March 30th.
      Thank you for your question. I am sure many people have the same concern. We will be updating the portal today.
      UPDATE 2020-03-20: The book deposit is NOW CLOSED. Please keep your books at home for the time being.
