“50 Years of Inspiration”


In 2015, the Pointe-Claire Public Library is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The theme of our celebration is 50 years of inspiration.

Join us on Saturday, January 24, 2015, as we officially launch a year of festivities with a full day of fun.

Crazy for CupcakesCupcake Decorating Workshops

with Pointe-Claire bakery Crazy about Cupcakes (45 minutes; bilingual)

1 p.m.  – 5 to 8 years old (parents welcome to help)

2 p.m. – 8 to 12 years old

3 p.m. – Adults

1 – 1:30  – Music by Duo Jaï (Stewart and Joanne Grant)

1:30 – 2 p.m. – Discussion on the theme of inspiration with our first Writer in Residence Mark Abley and guest, Joel Yanofsky.

2 – 2:45  – Local writers read from recent writings (Karen Zey, Chris Galvin, Claire Pelletier, Francine Marcil, and Michelle Payette-Daoust).
