Alice Munro wins Nobel Prize

Canadian author Alice Munro has won the Nobel Prize in literature!  She is the first Canadian woman to win this award.

A native of Ontario, Alice Munro has previously won many awards for literature – the Man Booker International Prize in 2009, two time winner of the Giller Prize and three time winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award.  Three cheers for Alice Munro and the recognition of Canadian literature!

You can find 44 documents (in English and French) on Alice Munro on the library catalogue, if you are interested in reading her books or reading about her.  If you do not feel like reading, the library also has the film adaptation of her short story Away from her in DVD format.
